I am an artist who specializes in unique and Original artwork. I went to college in the 1990's and rediscovered art as a 'hobby'. My College tutor always made positive comments about the originality of my work. I was particularly inspired by Impressionists such as Vangogh and Picasso for the bright, bold colour they used which seem to come to life. The medium I work with is acrylic and everything I produce is hand painted in bright, bold colours. You can not currently buy my artwork on the shop shelves, this web site is the only place you may purchase them.
"I often like going to Blackpool Art Society and watch the Masters at work, watching demonstrations by other artists sharing their skills and knowledge. There is also a studio attached where budding artists can learn to be more competent. Art often starts off as a hobby and opens up a whole new wonderful world of colour!" "In the early 1990's I went to Paris with a friend, we went to the sacre coeure, in the market square were a group of artists,some did sketches, others did paintings of the beautiful buildings which surrounded us, the atmosphere was electric! In the late 1990's I went back to the Blackpool and Fylde College to study 0'level art as a hobby and enjoyed it so much, I progressed to take A'level art the following year. I enjoyed my time at college and met other students, we shared ideas, talked about the Acrylic paints and how to mix colours, textures and such like to produce good work."
"I am inspired by impressionists such as Van Gogh and Picasso, for the bright bold colours they used and their versatility and originality of the styles of work which they produced! I am also inspired by the works of Lowry who is of course different altogether, I was drawn by the simplicity of the way he painted 'Matchstick men, cats and dogs which seemed to come to life, the paintings reminded me of my childhood carefree days of school and the hustle and bustle of people in every day life!"
